Cute Invitations and Decorations

First up, create a cute invitation and personally invite your friends to the Galentine’s Day festivities. Make sure to plan and invite ahead of time so everyone can attend. Write out the menu, your shopping list, and what type of decorations to get. Party City is a great place to start for decorations and color coordinating.

Plenty of Food, Sweets, and Drinks

Secondly on the list is food and drinks! Get creative and make it a DIY menu. Have breakfast for dinner and make red velvet pancakes or waffles in the shape of a heart. Have trays of the best finger foods and snacks for everyone to keep coming back to throughout the party. For sweets, anything goes! Red and pink sugar cookies, chocolate-dipped fruit, marshmallows and candy galore. For Drinks, create a themed menu for pretty cocktails.

Movies and Games

Keep the festivities going by including the group’s favorite rom-com or chick flick movies and fun games. Movies like Baby Mama, Bridesmaids, Girls Trip, and the classic Mean Girls are great additions to the Galentine’s Day theme. Also, playing minute to win it Valentine games or card games are a sure way to keep everyone up and moving.

A #NoBoysAllowed Playlist

When you’re not watching movies, set the background music to play nothing but female artists. Create a #NoBoysAllowed playlist that celebrates women and keeps you dancing. Mix in some classic hits like Destiny’s Child “Independent Women Pt. 1” and Christina Aguilera “Can’t Hold Us Down”, to newer songs like Ariana Grande “Thank You, Next” and Yung Baby Tate “That Girl”. The playlist will definitely be a hit!

Party Favors

Before everyone goes home, have a small gift bag set for everyone to have as an appreciation of friendship and a thank you for attending Galentine’s Day. A nice way to show appreciation for your friends (include the host as well!) is to write a personalized note about the kind of friend they are and why they are loved. Add the note with items like bath bombs, a small candle, lip gloss, more candy, and even a small, travel-sized wine bottle in the goodie bags. Everyone will surely be happy and feel loved on Galentine’s Day.
