Trove Branding Consultants is Building Dreams and Making Them Into Reality

Tyler Denae Jackson is a rising star out of Atlanta using social media to market herself and her clients. The Trove Branding Consultants CEO has taken the opportunity to use digital platforms to market the message of hustle and dedication. She has been in the business officially since 2016, but her expertise surpasses several years. From real estate to beauty brands, Trove is representing prominent businesses all over the nation, and she’s just getting started.

We all know how important social media is to the American narrative. It is the very makeup of our day-to-day, but we should always pay attention to what we consume and the ways in which we consume it. Tyler and her team are spreading positive messages through her clients in beauty, real estate, finance, and more.

Everything has to align with my overall goals and purpose.

The Beginning

What inspired your passion for social media marketing?
This is a great question! I’ve always been in sales– retail, door to door, B2B, cold calling, EVERYTHING. That really built my confidence and communication skill set. I knew I wanted to get into business so I went to college for Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management. After college, I worked for a sales and marketing company as a recruiter and discovered the large need for digital marketing in that space. I started my own business from there!
What were some of the things you practiced at the beginning of the Trove Branding business that is different now?
The beginning was all about the hustle. I now practice alignment. I don’t take every client and opportunity. I’m a lot more strategic now, everything has to align with my overall goals and purpose.
When did you figure out how to monetize your socials, and what were your first steps?
Very early on. I love sharing and honestly, it came naturally for me. I’m a salesperson at heart, so when I started sharing valuable information and clients started flowing to me, and I was able to sell them the transformation I could provide.
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment to date?

I feel like being a full-time business owner for 3 years is an accomplishment in itself because 30% of new businesses fail during the first two years of being open, 50% during the first five years and 66% during the first 10. Other than that purchasing a franchise would be my biggest.

Trove’s Impact

What was your strategy for building your current team? What do you look for in team members?
Being patient and building genuine relationships. I’ve found that referrals are the best method of building a network. I want to work with people known for doing great work and are passionate about what they do. Passion, a “can do” attitude, solution-oriented, a self-starter, and someone that is always looking to learn/grow.
How do you decide which tools will be most effective for your clients?
Trial and error, and lots of research! I don’t like software with a steep learning curve, so I keep things simple. When I find something I like, I stick with it.
What sacrifices have you made for the benefit of Trove?
My entire life has changed since founding Trove. I dedicated an entire year– every weekend, to building my business. I had a very small social life, no shopping, no traveling, no family gatherings, etc. Now, I can prioritize those things and my business as well.
Do you have any fears or doubts about the success of your business? What strategies do you use to move past them?
Not really. I’ve always been extremely optimistic. I know that it all starts with me and my overall well being to grow. As I become better mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc., it becomes better. I stay grounded by keeping a tight circle of encouraging friends, knowing when to relax, allowing my family to support me, listening to success stories, and therapy to learn healthy coping habits.

How do you measure your goals and see them through?
I set daily goals that I know will help me reach my monthly, and yearly. First I reverse engineer, starting with my yearly goal, then quarterly, then monthly, weekly, daily. I also have enough market research to know what activities get me results; which would be posting daily on certain platforms, cold calling a certain amount of people, sending out a certain amount of emails, etc.

Do you use vision boards and strategic plans?
I have a vision board, but I use to create a strategy!

What have you learned about yourself through Trove?
Trove has taught me how resilient I am. I’ve learned how to be a better friend, daughter, sister. I know how to balance a business and social life, and how to have a purposeful life. In business, I’ve learned how to be a better leader, discipline myself, leverage my network and build relationships.
What’s a typical day for you?
Ideally, I wake up around six to nine in the morning. I start every day with prayer, some type of physical activity like the gym or just stretching, I don’t touch my phone or computer until 9 am at the earliest, and I start knocking out my to-do list before client calls. My afternoons are typically spent in social media, monitoring accounts and networking online.

What mentors have you had along the way?
Viance Cosper’s leadership changed my life. She’s such an extremely hard worker and was the first female business owner I ever saw up close! She moved to the US from Venezuela–spoke no English and is now building an empire with a beautiful family. Also, Keya James, she’s an entrepreneur, wife, mother, real estate investor. She works so hard. Both of these women have shown me you CAN have it all.

Trove Branding Consultants in the Future

What are some of your core values? How do they show up in your work?
Integrity is my #1. I show up for others as well as myself. If I can’t follow through, I’m transparent about it but I ALWAYS have a backup plan. Innovation is important to me. In an age of recycled content, it’s helped me to stand out. Another value is alignment. I only do things that are tied to our overall purpose. I sleep better that way.
Where do you see yourself and your business in 2020?
I plan to be more purposeful. I want to help transform as many lives as possible by the knowledge I’ve acquired in my lifetime. Currently, I have two mentees and I’m super excited about pouring into them. I’d love to work with larger corporations and be able to build a team that is passionate about the digital space and where it is going!
Tyler Denae embodies the classic spirit of hustle and determination. The Trove brand is the result of dedication and sacrifice and allows others to blossom with intention. Because of how frequently we find ourselves scrolling up and down Instagram and Twitter, we should use that time to create a better future for ourselves. What better way to do that than to monetize the apps you use the most? The Trove founder and CEO continues to find herself in her work and is proving that hard work can turn any vision to reality.
